to provide a summary, and link to their articles. People that subscribe to the news site's RSS feed see the article in their news reader of choice, and can decide if it's worth their time from the description.
When you subscribe to many different RSS feeds, it allows you to save time by giving you a one stop shop for every site you want updates on. If you want a more in depth definition of RSS feeds it can be found here at Wikipedia. | ^top

To allow us to offer this server for all of our customers for free
AuctionMonitor.net is part of the eBay affiliate program
(http://affiliates.ebay.com/).
Most likely you have some kind of program up and running that blocks
"Commision Junction" links (This is the provider that eBay uses for it's
affiliate program). If you have replaced your "HOST" file, that would
also cause it. Here is where your host file will be located. Windows 95/98/ME: C:\WINDOWS\hosts Windows XP Home/Pro: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Windows NT/2000: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Linux: /etc/hosts MacOS 8 and 9: System Folder: Preferences: Hosts MacOSX: Open Finder, click "Go->Go to folder" type in /etc and open the "HOSTS" file with Text Edit On windows: Open it up with notepad, and you should see something like this: # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host 127.0.0.1 localhost On OSX, it will look something like this: # # Host Database # # localhost is used to configure the loopback interface # when the system is booting. Do not change this entry. ## 127.0.0.1 localhost 255.255.255.255 broadcasthost ::1 localhostThese are the default hosts file. If you have more then that listed, then you have a modified HOSTS file. To fix the modified hosts file locate the lines with the domains: www.anrdoezrs.net www.qksrv.net Put a # in front of it to comment it out. If your hosts file isn't modified, then it is most likely you have an ad blocker, popup blocker or other Internet security software blocking the server. To fix it, you can try disabling the software or reconfiguring it so that it does not block URLs from the following servers: www.anrdoezrs.net www.qksrv.net You may have to clear your cache after you disable the software for the changes to take effect. | ^top
